UK Friends of Biogas

Friends of biogas, for those interested in and promoting biogas in the UK

Hi to all,
I'm wondering if the digester can be located at about 70metres, can it affect the gas flow?if so, what can be done to have the gas reach beyond 70metres?

Hi Francis.
My names are Kinoti Samwel and I am a Biogas contractor In Kenya. What determines the pressure a biogas plant achieves is the design of the biogas plant you intend to install.
Two main common designs in our country are the floating drum design and the fixed dome design.

The floating drum design may not be able to achieve high pressures enogh to push the gas to far distances, but with the Fixed dome designs, high pressures are achievable enough to push the gas to as far as 400 metres.
This is something I have learnt out of experience.

You are most welcome to enquire further about biogas plants.

Hi Francis,
I have read your queries. We are a company called Renewable Energy Engineering Contractors (REECON). Currently constructing at least 5 Plants in a month (fixed dome design of different sizes). We are based in Ngong Town 30 km from Nairobi

REECON is a company that is promoting the use of Green and Clean Energy Technologies in East Africa. In REECON, we believe that waste is not a nuisance to the well being of the community but it is a resource that can be used to improve the lives of individuals.

Reecon as a company has been in the biogas industry for the last 10 years. We have qualified personnel both with sound academic qualifications and relevant field experience. With our research team on the ground, we are committed to seeing at least 8Million households construct biogas in their homes in the next seven years.
